Road Closure Notices - Yorkshire Green

We are currently constructing a bellmouth on Overton Road. To enable us to carry out this work, we have put in place a road closure on a short section of Overton Road, which is currently in operation. This was originally planned for Wednesday 14 May until Wednesday 28 May 2025. However, due to unforeseen delays in the planned works, this traffic management will now operate until Tuesday 3 June 2025.

The signed diversion route will remain in place via Stripe Lane. As with previous closures, staffed gates will continue to be in place for large vehicles, including agricultural vehicles, that cannot pass under the railway bridge.

We need to create a safe working area which will allow us to construct a stone pad as part of the new bellmouth. To enable us to carry out this work, we will need to put in place 2-way traffic lights on the A19, south of the junction with Overton Road. The signals are expected to only be operational in off peak hours’ (9:30am – 3pm) in order to minimise disruption where possible.

Outside of these hours, if safe to do so, the temporary traffic lights will be removed.
